When will I receive my order?
Orders for custom foot orthoses are usually processed and shipped in four days.  Requests for consultation or orders that require clarification prior to processing are held until after we have contacted you and specific instructions are verified.

If you are using United States postal Service (USPS) to mail in your order from outside Arizona, packages arrive at the laboratory in anywhere between four and seven days time.

Packages arriving at the laboratory using FedEx Express shipping service are two days in transit. FedEx Ground service packages are delivered to our facility in two to four days, depending from which region of the country a shipment originates.

All outbound packages are shipped with FedEx. Express service is selected for destinations outside Arizona, unless prior arrangements have been made for shipping your packages via ground service. FedEx Ground service is used for shipments to locations in the greater southwest region of the country,

If you are using United States postal Service (USPS) to mail your order, any mail carrier will take a carton with a “BUSINESS REPLY LABEL” adhered to the box. You can print a USPS label addressed to the laboratory here: USPS Label

Shipping Procedures - Rates/Options

Shipping to the Laboratory
Biomechanical Services pays for inbound shipping charges on packages sent to the laboratory, of an amount corresponding to standard shipping schedules and box sizes. Standard shipping cartons that are sized to avoid dimensional weight charges are supplied by the laboratory.

Call: (800) 942-2272 or email to:customerservice@biomechanical.com to request shipping cartons.and labels.

FedEx
Federal Express Service (FedEx) is the preferred shipper for all packages sent to our laboratory, especially from outside of Arizona. Preprinted FedEx Express Service (2nd Day) shipping labels are available on request from Biomechanical Services. These pre-printed labels make it easier to initiate a shipment, since the shipper and recipient location are already printed on the label. There is no need to fill anything out or weigh a package. (See:Shipping Proceduresat the bottom of this page). Customers can also have FedEx shipping labels sent via email. Each FedEx shipping label has unique tracking number assigned to it. Labels sent to customers via email may only be printed and used once.

Contact Federal Express to schedule a pick-up at your facility or take the labeled package to any FedEx drop box or business location that provides shipping services for FedEx.

USPS
There are two options for inbound shipping. United States Postal Service (USPS) is one way to easily initiate a shipment. A preprinted “BUSINESS REPLY LABEL” label is available for shipping cartons. Postal carriers will accept a carton with our pre-printed USPS label without your having to indicate weight on the shipment. Simply write your return address on the upper left side of the label and give it to a mail carrier. (See:Shipping Procedures at the bottom of this page).

Overnight and Saturday Deliveries
Next Day shipments to laboratory would need to be arranged by the facility shipping the package. Biomechanical Services does not provide prepaid overnight shipping to our facility.

Requests for Next Day service on outbound orders from the laboratory will incur additional fees according to the rate for delivery to each specific location.

Saturday delivery for shipments via FedEx is available on request and will incur additional fees according to the rate for delivery to each specific location.

Oversized and Irregular Shaped Boxes
Oversized and irregular shaped boxes are treated by FedEx and other shipping companies as containing weight corresponding to space available in each box, by volume. Common carriers refer to this as “dimensional weighting“. The boxes supplied by the laboratory are sized to handle weight that corresponds to standard parcel dimensions. Packages received at the laboratory that fall outside standard dimensional weight ratios may incur additional chargers for non-standard cartons.

Outbound Shipping
Biomechanical Services ships all outbound packages with FedEx, unless another shipping method is requested by our customer. Shipping and Handling charges are applied to invoices for outbound orders. Packages sent using another carrier will be charged additional handling fees, along with any increased shipping costs associated with the selection of an alternate carrier.

Unless otherwise directed by our customer, packages shipped to locations outside of Arizona are shipped using 2nd Day Air service. Packages sent to California, Nevada, Utah and New Mexico locations are shipped using ground service, unless other arrangements are made in advance. FedEx does NOT deliver to Post Office boxes. USPS is the only carrier capable of delivering packages to a Post Office box. Packages sent using USPS are not tracked, nor require signature on delivery.

Overnight Delivery
Biomechanical Services will accommodate requests for overnight shipments by our customers. Overnight shipments will be sent with FedEx unless otherwise directed. Overnight shipments are billed according to the published rate schedule of the carrier requested,, as are all premium services such as Saturday or early AM delivery.

When Will I Receive My Order?
Biomechanical Services fabricates orthotics on a four - five business day schedule. When orders are shipped to and from the laboratory using second day air service, total turn around time is usually ten to twelve calendar days.

Orders held for consultation are not processed into production until after we have concluded our review. Usually, an order held for consultation will be delivered within two weeks after our conversation with you.

Occasionally, orders may be held for quality control reassessments, material shortages or processing conflicts as a result of increased order volume. Biomechanical Services makes every attempt to avoid such delays. We attempt to notify customers by phone call when orders will be delayed more than a few busienss days.

Rush Orders
Rush order scheduling is available on request and includes additional charges. A 3-Day rush for orthotic orders fabricated from negative casts is $16, and a 2-Day rush is $26.50. Both 2-Day and 3 Day rushes can be requested on Biomechanical Services' Order Card sent with a specific order, or by calling customer service at the laboratory.

A one day rush order is $40 and must be confirmed prior to our receiving the order. Scheduling for 1-Day rushes are considered on an individual basis, to determine if there is adequate staff and time to complete the request. Contact one of our Applications Specialists or Customer Service Agents at the laboratory before sending the order.

A scheduled 1-Day rush for a repair order is $40 and scheduled 2-Day rush repair order is $25. Rush repairs are best handled by notifying the laboratory in advance of shipment to the laboratory. A same day (received, processed and shipped on the same day) repair order is $60.

Biomechanical Services will accommodate requests for overnight shipments by our customers. Overnight shipments will be sent via FedEx unless otherwise directed. Overnight shipments are billed according to the published rate schedule of the carrier requested, as are all premium services such as Saturday or early AM delivery.

Shipping Procedures
Biomechanical Services pays the freight charges on parcels shipped to the laboratory using either the United States Postal Services for our customers in southwestern states surrounding Arizona, or FedEx for our customers outside of Arizona and surrounding states. Please call us directly at (800) 942-2272, when you need more shipping cartons or labels.

Using - Federal Express Service (FedEx)
Pre-printed FedEx shipping labels, with the address of your facility as shipper, the laboratory address as recipient, type of service and a predetermined tracking number on a ready to peel and stick label are available for your outbound packages. This is the most convenient option for making shipments to Biomechanical Services. Please package and seal each carton before applying the label. Be sure there are not any other labels on the package from previous shipments or any exposed bar codes which could confuse delivery location of the package. You may use any preprinted FedEx shipment label with Biomechanical Services' address on it as recipient.

When shipping packages to the laboratory, customers outside Arizona, Southern or Northern California and the states of Nevada and Utah will find FedEx Ground shipments delivered typically within three days' time. For our customers outside those previously listed southwestern states surrounding Arizona, FedEx Express service (guaranteed 2nd day delivery) is the recommended shipping service option.

Using - United States Postal Service (USPS)
United States Postal Service (USPS) labels are available for those customers who do not need trackable, expedited or insured shipping services. Labels (pictured below) for USPS delivery are available from the laboratory. The USPS label has a "No Postage Necessary" imprint, meaning you can give the package to any USPS mail carrier or take it to any local USPS office for delivery via First Class Mail, without having to weigh it or fill out any other forms. First Class Mail service via USPS to the laboratory is usually one to three, as many as five, days in transit to the laboratory.

Please click on the image link below to open a PDF and print a label you can apply to the shipping carton. Trim the printed page to expose a 4.5" x 4.5" indicia before taping it to the carton. All the bar codes must be visible and legible.

Orders sent to or from the laboratory via USPS usually take longer for delivery than FedEx service. USPS packages using a Business Reply Label are not tracked and are subject to delay by regional postal processing schedules.
