Patient Profile - This device is made for preadolescent to retirement-age patients weighing 120-190 lbs. It accommodates moderate recreational and occupational activities, and is not recommended for athletic use. Medium to high volume shoes are best suited for this device. Foot Type - The Supporter is best suited for medium to high arch feet with normal to mildly restricted rearfoot range of motion, and very flexible to mildly restricted forefoot motion. Biomechanical Characteristics - The Supporter has a semi-rigid rearfoot post that offers moderate shock absorption at heel strike, with sufficient control for subtalar compensation. This device offers significant midtarsal control with some forgiveness during midstance. |
