Competitor
Patient Profile - Any athlete who competes in events where conventional orthotic therapy may impede performance, due to unwanted weight or bulk associated with a more durable device, will like the Competitor. This device is designed for athletic shoes worn by patients weighing 100-250 lbs.
Foot Type - The Competitor is best for low to high arch feet, with loose to mild restricted ranges of motion in either the forefoot or rearfoot. Mild to moderate forefoot malalignments will benefit from this device.
Biomechanical Characteristics - The Competitor is characterized by the functional control it offers without the use of a plastic shell for structural integrity. Adding or removing material to the shell controls the rigidity of this device. The lightweight mold of this device is preferred for superior proprioceptive response during intense activities. This device will not hold up to the rigors of daily training regimens.
